Welcome To Blackshaw Primary School
Blackshaw Primary School is a one form entry school and has a thriving Early Years Unit, which provides a variety of care options. We also have care provision for before and after school and during holidays, which is operated by a private provider.
Our philosophy is to keep the needs of the children at the very heart of our school and our high expectations and aspirations go hand in hand with enjoyment and excitement. Our mission statement, which scaffolds all our practise, recognises the unique qualities of all children.
We welcome and encourage parental involvement in all aspects of school life and have a thriving, supportive Governing body and excellent links with our local community.
We pride ourselves on our quality of care and this was recognised in our recent OFSTED inspection which stated that the school “has a very caring atmosphere, with positive and encouraging relations between staff and pupils.”
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed, please contact the school office if you wish to make an appointment.
